Explanation: If applying for DSP on the grounds of permanent blindness (1.1.P.210) a claimant must provide a supporting report (SA013) completed by an ophthalmologist.

If CA is being claimed for the first time in respect of the child, THEN a report must be provided by the THP (1.1.T.170) verifying the child's disability.

If CA is being claimed for a child already qualified BUT the claim is from a new care giver, THEN a report from the THP is unnecessary, unless there is reason to believe the child's medical condition has changed or the child is due for the next age milestone review.

Note: If a person is qualified for CA automatically through qualification for CP (child), no additional documentation is required.

Note: ATI (3.6.7.32), for the carer, and their partner (where applicable), must be below the CA $250,000 income test threshold.
